The present settlement runs via Aug. 21, however Ebrard mentioned it doesn’t make sense to reopen the border presently.

The travel restriction on the shared land border was first introduced March 18 and has been renewed month-to-month. It has included the U.S.-Canada border as properly.
“The border could not be opened proper now,” Ebrard mentioned. “It wouldn’t be logical that we change it right now, so it will be another month.”
Mexico has reported about 500,000 confirmed COVID-19 infections and about 55,000 deaths, each thought of to be vital undercounts due to very restricted testing.
